Item Description

Very sculptural, tapered, flattened floater sharply crystallized copper with a fine patina from a NEW FIND at this active open pit copper mine. Both sides of the artistic piece have a striking backbone of spinel-twins , that are flanked by more hoppered spinel-twins with the flaired edge having intergrown tetrahexahedral crystals. This exceptional cutie resembles classic crystallized coppers from Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula! Most specimens from the 2017 find had an arborescent shape, so these new pieces are dramatically different and exciting.
