Item Description

A spectacular, sharp, 2.3 cm, spinel-twinned copper crystal proudly extends from the scultpural boxwork matrix of nearly solid, smaller sharply crystallized copper tetrahexahedrons and spinel-twins. Some hackly to massive copper is also noted. Much of the boxwork is coated with either red cuprite or iron oxides. The large twin and most of the crystals have a beautiful, golden-coppery, iridescence. This is very fine and uncommon in this quality, older material from the famous mines at Bisbee.
