Item Description
A magnificent example of the world-class coppers that came out of the Itauz Mine in Kazakhstan about 10 years ago. This specimen is all crystal, in a fabulous multiple dendritic (branching) form. Parts of the piece have an amazing lacy look, with the elongated spinels. Most of the crystals are spinel-twins, but a few sharp tetrahexahedral crystals are noted at the ends of the branches. And, it is not flimsy at all, but actually quite substantial. A bit of attached gray matrix is noted. This exceptional piece has two superlative display views. Very fairly valued at $1500.
