Item Description
Arborescent spinel-twinned copper crystals from the famous 1960s-70s finds at Ray are some of the most recognizable and important Arizona coppers. This classic older small cabinet has distinctive and unusual twisted furrowed spines with sharp tetrahexahedral crystals attached and a nice variegated patina, adding much pizzazz. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 8741 and acquired from the Lidstrom's at the Tucson Show in 1971. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). An excellent Ray copper. Every turn presents a different perspective!
