Spinel twin (rare)

Item Description

A twinned, shapely, sculptural floater spinel crystal from this well-known locale. The very glassy, gemmy/translucent, layered crystal has beautiful rich lavender color. The two pieces of attached marble add color and contrast. Spinel twins are uncommon from Luc Yen, as most such crystals are octahedrons. A fine and rare example of the species and form. 28.61 carats.
