Spinel Twin Fluorite (fluorescent)

Prime example of elongated Spinel Twin Fluorite cluster from the famous Erongo Mountains. Spinel twins of Fluorite are uncommon, and this particular habit is even more rare. The longest of these translucent-to-gemmy, smoky-colored crystals is 7.7 cm. This long 'spearpoint' is flanked on one side by a smaller, stair-stepped twin, with several other elongated Fluorites at the base. All have good luster, and they are nearly pristine. The Fluorite has a vivid, royal blue fluoresence. An excellent, and desirable, cabinet-size Fluorite.
