Item Description
One of the very few pieces of Spinel we've seen form Monaragala. The main crystal (which is repaired), measures 6 mm and is incredibly sharp, lustrous and well-formed compared to all others I personally have seen from the area. Many other smaller Spinel crystals can be seen on each side of the matrix. If you're a collector of Sri Lankan minerals or Spinels in general, do not miss out on this hard to find locality specimen.
