Spinel specimens are RARE from this obscure Uva Province, Sri Lanka locale. This striking and excellent small cabinet hosts seven large sharp crystals randomly attached to the matrix nodule. The textbook highly lustrous, jet-black isometric crystals have fascinating modified faces, adding much character. The impressive crystals reach 2.6 cm on the diagonal. The bit of noted contacting and bruising to the crystals has very little impact to the overall high quality and richness of this excellent rarity with multiple display views.
