Item Description

This specimen is formed of clusters of well-defined Spinel octahedrons from Sri Lanka. The octahedrons are razor sharp, lustrous, and black/brown in color. The Spinels range up to 7 mm, but average closer to 4 mm. These are often referred top as "Ceylonite'. This rich cluster of Spinels rests on tabular and opaque Forsterite crystals. Very good representative specimen for this locality. Last purchased for $200.
