Beautiful, gemmy ruby-colored red spinel crystals are aesthetically set on the sculptural contrasting marble matrix. The striking, twinned, richly colored octahedron at the crest is 1.0 x 0.9 x 0.7 cm. The cluster of smaller octos below is a fine accent. This is a classic and excellent example from the famous gem tracts at Mogok. Cherry-red fluorescence. From an East Coast collection. Very few of this quality have come out recently.
