Item Description
This is a fine quality, tabular example of the well-known Spinel specimens from Vietnam, dark but sharp and symmetric. Likely from, or related to, the finds of 2007, this deep brownish-red crystal has flashes of red fire, and along the edge you can see the very sharp, macle twinning plane. At 4 cm across, this is a significantly-sized Vietnamese Spinel. Recently deaccessed from the Tim Sherburn collection. 33 grams.
