Item Description

A classic example of the fine crystallized Spinels from Burma. This piece is a very good sized crystal for Mogok, with sharp, smooth octahedral faces and a purplish exterior. An exposed area on the underside shows that the color is a hot pink hue below the initial lavender color on the surface. The piece is nearly a floater with only a slight amount of roughness. Burma has produced some of the best examples of Spinel in the world from the standpoint of size, quality and color. From the PRIVATE COLLECTION (not inventory) of Herb Obodda. Valued at $900.
