Item Description

A layered, cornflower-blue, unusually distorted spinel octahedron is jauntily perched on matrix on this aesthetic thumbnail from this well-known Montana locale. The accompanying label says this is gahnite, a Spinel Group member, that is RARE from this strangely named skarn deposit. Further testing would be needed for confirmation.
