Item Description

Over the last few years, the various gem tracts around Luc Yen have produced some impressive Spinel crystals. This specimen is lustrous, octahedral crystals purple Spinel from this contemporary classic locality. The color is good, and not brown like so many I've seen from this locality either, as you can see good color along the edges when strongly backlit. This locality has the potential to produce some SUPERB Spinels, and if they stay on the bigger side of things, they will set a new standard for the species.
