Item Description

A classic blue Spinel gem from Sri Lanka with a standard "Step Oval" cut. The stone has nearly eye-clean clarity and faces up with a rich hue, that has an almost metallic quality to it, like many Spinels. These stones don’t get enough attention or appreciation for what they are in my mind. They are incredibly durable stones, found in a wide range of colors, and are rarer than gem quality Sapphire with nearly the same refractive index.
