Item Description

Spinel gems are found in a great range of colors. While most people are familiar with the Ruby Spinels, it's safe to say that a large percentage of Spinels out there are not red. This is a beautiful pinkish-purple Spinel gem from Sri Lanka. It is an attractive gem with a color that is less common in Spinel than most other shades. The gem is virtually eye and has a lovely "Step Oval" cut. In indoor lighting the stone has more of a pinkish overtone, and in sunlight, the color leans more towards to the purple side.
