Item Description
Spherocobaltite is the rare Cobalt-rich member of the Calcite Group. Intense magenta and pink microcrystals richly and attractively cover the front of the blocky miniature contrasting matrix. Spherocobaltite specimens are RARE from this well-known open pit Cu-Co-U mine, better known for fine Carrollite specimens. Although the crystals are small, sub-mm, they are eye visible and intensely colored, so this is actually quite a good quality for the species. You do not see many for sale. Choice material from the R.D. Mushlitz Collection.
