Sharp, gorgeous, sparkline sphene crystals to nearly 3 cm richly cover this large melon-sized matrix specimen. Despite the fact that there is some obvious damage to many crystals (though also many that are likewise complete), it is a very rich piece, overall. This is an older find, and you rarely see big plates. the larger dark green crystals in the matrix are epidote
