Item Description
A showy specimen of Sphalerite from Dalnegorsk featuring several excellent, lustrous, very sharp, jet-black, notably well-formed crystals measuring up to 3.6 cm, associated with attractive compressed rhombs of white/colorless Calcite, along with contrasting reddish-brown groups of oddly botryoidal / stalactitic Siderite and a few scattered Quartz crystals. No major damage that I can see, but there are a few small nicks, so the piece is not 100% pristine. The piece was mined in the early 1990s and comes from Brian Kosnar. Valued $950.
