Item Description
A classic association specimen from Creede featuring fine quality, well-formed, dark Sphalerite crystals measuring up to 1.8 cm across, which have a partial coating of Quartz (with a slight Amethystine hue in areas) along with little dull grey cubes of Galena on matrix. If you look at the back of the piece, you can see the Quartz has formed hollow "casts" after a preexsting mineral. No damage that I can see. A very showy and good quality example from the famed Emperius Mine which was also called the Bachelor Mine. Valued $700.
