Item Description

A hard to find sulfide association specimen from Weardale featuring sharp, very lustrous, stacked clusters of deep reddish-black Sphalerite measuring up to 1.7 across associated with well-formed, isolated, silvery metallic, cuboctahedra of Galena on/with small white Quartz crystals on matrix. The piece comes from the collection of John H. Marshall Jr. of Acoaxet, Massachusetts, and his label accompanies the piece (#4300). Good quality, hard to find, and certainly worth picking up if you collect minerals from the North Pennines. Valued at $800.
