Item Description
Sphalerite is very much an under appreciated species from the famous Elmwood Mine, where golden Calcite and purple Fluorites reigh. This outstanding and aesthetic example features a very lustrous, complete all-round cluster of twinned, "Ruby Jack" Sphalerite crystals adorably perched atop a pedestal of lustrous, saddle-shaped Dolomite crystals. There are even two, small purple Fluorite cubes at the base of the Dolomite. Complete all-around and very, very nearly pristine, with only super-trivial edge wear at a couple of spots on the Sphalerite. Every turn presents a new perspective to this fine display piece. The Sphalerite shows great color when strongly backlit.
