Large, sharp, sphalerite crystals are liberally peppered with sharp, lustrous, brassy, chalcopyrite crystals on this excellent, old-time combination specimen from the famed Joplin Field. The sphalerite crystal faces ALL have a golden/peacock-blue/magenta iridescence from a coating of micro-chalcopyrite, that REALLY adds to the panache of this fine old-timer. The camera could not capture this. A very fine and sculptural old-timer from this historic district. Ex Schlichter Collection. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
