An outstanding, aesthetic and colorful, old-time combination piece from the Kansas portion of the famous Tri-State District. Sharp sphalerite crystals, to 2.5 cm, and a few, very gemmy, smaller rubyjack sphalerites are aesthetically scattered on the chert matrix. Stunning peacock iridescence coats not only the large sphalerites, but also the striking scattered clusters of very sharp, small chalcopyrite crystals with dramatic effect. A superb and classic combination from the George Feist Collection # 1656.
