Item Description

Sphalerite specimens are RARE from this less well-known Rhodope Mountains mine and this is an exceptional combination. A striking 3.7 cm "ball" of intergrown, sharp, lustrous, sphalerite twins with a matte finish is dramatically set on the edge of the large two-sided rib of frosted quartz points. A few small frosted galena cubes near the sphalerite are a super accent. The front is pristine, except for the noted periphery wear on two edges, which is certainly only a modest detraction to this rare and choice large combination.
