Item Description

An impressive, aesthetic and rare Bolivia combination piece. A 2.5 cm, splendent, jet-black, twinned sphalerite variety marmatite crystal (Fe-rich varietal) is dramatically perched atop sharp, tabular siderite rhombs to 4.0 cm and clusters of marmatite crystals. This outstanding combo is nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of edge wear to the large siderite rhomb and a bit of periphery wear to the lower portion of the piece. This mine was famous in the 1970s for producing the world's best creedite crystals. Marmatite and siderite are VERY RARE from here. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and from the Rich Kosnar Collection, according to his label. A must for the species or locality collector.
