Sphalerite twins & Quartz

The famous mines at Dal'negorsk are renowned for world-class sulfide specimens and this is a very fine example. Three, sharp, splendent, jet-black, well-striated, twinned sphalerite crystals are aesthetically perched atop the mounded matrix of sphalerite, galena and quartz. The field of frosted quartz points in the front is a super and classic Dal'negorsk compliment. The large sphalerite is 3.0 across and all three of these crystals are pristine. It displays beautifully without aid and is essentially pristine, even the dense quartz field.
