Item Description

Splendent, twinned, jet-black sphalerite crystals with pronounced stepped-growth faces are aesthetically clustered on one end of this excellent specimen from this noted Balkan locality. The sphalerites are up to 2.0 cm and rest on a matrix of brass-yellow pyrite with galena and marcasite. Very fine combo sulfide ore material from this well-known district from the Zukowski Collection.
