Item Description

A classic and very showy CABINET combination plate from the historic mines at Trepca. Lustrous, twinned, jet-black, sphalerite crystals are richly scattered among starkly contrasting, brassy, chalcopyrite crystals and a few small clusters of glassy calcite rhombs. A bit of periphery wear is only a modest detraction. Highly representative and excellent combo material from this historic district. Ex Zukowski Collection.
