A sharp, lustrous, jet-black sphalerite crystal has a very nifty stepped-growth face and is aesthetically set on matrix on this pristine and excellent, two-sided thumbnail from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. Mineral specimens of ANY species are EXTREMELY RARE from this limestone quarry in central-western Illinois. Possibly unique! A MUST for the species or locality collector.
