Item Description

Mineral specimens from the much less well-known Syndicate Pit at Butte are RARE. This showy knob of massive sphalerite with pyrite is attractively and richly covered with sprays of milky quartz points, euhedral, frosted, gray, sphalerite crystals and scattered clusters of small pyrite crystals. A very fine and rare combination specimen, with only one small spot of bruising in the interior. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. A must for the locality or species collector.
