Item Description
A rarely seen specimen from southeastern Iowa featuring a complex, highly modified group of dark brown opaque Sphalerite measuring 2.6 cm across sitting on pale pink colored, scalenohedral Calcite crystals. These specimens form as geodes and then cracked open to reveal the crystals inside. This is one of only a select few I've seen from Keokuk with both Sphalerite and Calcite together on the same specimen.
