Item Description

Sharp, well-striated, lustrous, metallic-black, sphalerite crystals cover both sides of this showy and excellent old-timer from the famous Tri-State District. Many of the crystals are twinned and have a cuboctahedral shape. The two sides are strikingly different! One side is densely covered with sphalerite crystals, while the other side has brecciated limestone fragments intermixed with the sphalerite crystals. Classic large Picher Field material. Ex R.
