Sphalerite (hard to find material)

Item Description

This mine is probably best known for its superb Bournonite specimens, but this new find has produced some attractive association specimens of Sphalerite with other minerals. The piece features dozens of semi lustrous, relatively sharp, black crystals of Sphalerite minor blades of white Barite on micro Quartz on matrix. The quality of the Augelite and Barite crystals, despite their small size is good, and the wonderful contrast between them and the Sphalerite is really striking. A very nice display specimen from a new find at Machacamarca.
