Item Description

An attractive and worthwhile Sphalerite specimen featuring some incredibly sharp, well-formed, modified tetrahedral and dodecahedral crystals (some of which show Spinel-Law twinning) with good gemminess and a beautiful deep reddish-brown hue. Rarely does one see such well-crystallized Sphalerite from this mine. The crystals are sitting on a matrix which plays host to Fluorite that ranges in color from pale lilac to strong purple. This material has almost completely disappeared from the market, and these Sphalerites are very good for the locality. Good shape overall, with very little damage on the display side of the specimen.
