These specimens are now classics from China as they have been around for about 20 years, and seemingly have all but disappeared from the market. This gorgeous cabinet display specimen features very sharp, highly lustrous, complex gemmy red to orange-red colored crystals and groups of Sphalerite measuring up to 2.3 cm which are associated with pale golden (nearly white), pearly Calcite crystals sitting on a thin plate of matrix coated by small Quartz crystals. The quality is excellent on the Sphalerites and many of the smaller crystals are virtually water clear and GLOW with color. VERY little damage and both sides are crystallized showing wonderful Sphalerites all over. Priced at $1,500 retail in the inventory. Ex Dr. Stephen Smale Collection.
