Item Description
A fine quality and seldom-seen specimen from the Dongxiang Cu-polymetallic Deposit in China featuring several sharp, well-formed, deep honey colored twinned crystals of Sphalerite which measure up to 1.6 cm across, associated with dark grey-black cuboctahedral crystals of Galena, with a layer of little white Quartz crystals on matrix. Tiny iridescent golden metallic colored crystals of Pyrite crystals can be seen on one side of the piece. No major damage, just a few rough spots, and the Sphalerites are VERY gemmy when backlit. If you collect Sphalerite, sulfides or minerals of China, these are really good quality examples and only found in limited quantity, so don't miss out, as there may not be more going forward.
