Item Description
A fine quality and rarely seen Sphalerite specimen from the Dongxiang Cu-polymetallic Deposit in China featuring sharp, well-formed, gemmy, deep amber-honey colored twinned crystals measuring up to 2.4 cm across, associated with soft metallic grey cubic Galena sitting a layer of little Quartz crystals on matrix. Smaller black crystals of Bornite along with minor pale golden metallic Pyrite crystals can be seen on the piece as well. No major damage, and the Sphalerites really glow with color when backlit. No damage and very showy. Valued $500.
