Item Description
A beautiful miniature specimen from the famous Grizzly Bear Mine when it was operated by the Zanett family in the 1980s. The piece features 2-3 mm, sharp, lustrous, GEMMY golden-orange colored crystals of Sphalerite associated with minor silvery-grey Galena on Quartz. Good quality and very attractive up close. You just don't see Sphalerites from this mine on the market anymore, don't miss out. Valued at $450. From the collection of Gary Weaver of Prescott, Arizona (1944-2019). Gary was an electrical engineer who worked for many years for Hughes Aircraft in California. You can read Gary's obituary here https://www.dcourier.com/news/2019/apr/27/obituary-gary-richard-weaver/
