Item Description

Clusters of splendent, twinned, jet-black, sphalerite crystals and lustrous, metallic-gray, galena cuboctahedrons richly and very attractively cover the drusy quartz matrix plate on this showy and excellent large combination specimen from Baia Sprie and the Fioravanti Collection. Sphalerite and galena combinations of this quality and size are RARE from here and specimens of the individual species are very uncommon. Acquired in Romania in 1970.
