Impressive and aesthetic large combination material from this well-known ore field, noted for outstanding gemmy rubyjack sphalerite specimens. Two striking sphalerite "balls", to 3.9 cm, composed of intergrown, lustrous, jet-black twinned crystals dominate the piece. Super accessories to the sculptural large, sparkly drusy quartz-covered plate include: very sharp, lustrous, metallic-gray galena cuboctahedrons including a fantastic 1.1 cm SPINEL-TWIN!; scattered smaller sphalerite crystal clusters; and some starkly contrasting tan nailhead calcite rhombs. Some of the smaller gemmy sphalerites GLOW cherry-red, when back lit, adding pizzazz. An outstanding and pristine large combination from the Ted Bartels Collection.
