Item Description
Specimens of Sphalerite from the San Fernando Mine are not common on the market, and I honestly don't think I've actually had one to offer in any format in the past. This piece is loaded with complex, sharp, well-formed brown-black crystals of Sphalerite measuring up to 1.3 cm on host rock matrix. The majority of the crystals are undamaged, and if you collect sulfides or German minerals, this would be a GREAT addition to your collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1168). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017). A great German classic from this lesser known locality.
