Sphalerite (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A very good representative Sphalerite from the famous Eagle mine in Colorado. The crystals show very sharp, modified tetrahedral form and a lustrous jet black appearance. It is a good display specimen, and would make a fine addition to a Colorado suite, or even more specifically, a Colorado suite of sulfides There is some minor associated Siderite on the reverse side of the specimen as well.
