An impressive, 4.8 cm, pristine doubly terminated compound sphalerite crystal highlights this aesthetic and sculptural old-time small cabinet from the Oklahoma portion of the historic Tri-State District. The 2.2 cm striking, pristine, flat-topped, isolated sphalerite crystal dramatically perched atop the mounded dolomite matrix is a super complement to this well-balanced 360-degree specimen. Scattered tiny bright brassy chalcopyrite sphenoids are a fine addtional accent. See the excellent 2017 Mineralogical Record Tri-State District! Special Issue, Vol. 48, No. 2.
