Sphalerite (classic locale)

Item Description

Classic and very colorful sphalerite from one of the world's most famous sphalerite localities. The extinct locality is renowned for gemmy reddish-orange crystals with very high luster and this is an excellent example. Most of the intergrown, well-striated, twinned crystals are reddish-orange with one end having translucent olive-green crystals. The crystals GLOW with gemmy burnt-orange color, when back lit! A very fine two-sided example.
