Sphalerite, Calcite & Quartz (Consie Prince Coll.)

An imposing, 7.5 cm, "corsage" of rubyjack sphalerite crystals dominates this dramatic and sculptural large combination from the famed Elmwood Mine. A dense nest of amber calcite crystals dramatically covers the crest of the of the sparkly drusy quartz-covered silicified limestone matrix wedge. The small sphalerite corsage at the bottom adds even more pizzazz, as does the rich sprinkling of more calcites on the back side. In great shape overall, with only a bit of periphery wear on the left and right sides of the large sphalerite, which are certainly only modest detractions to this artistic and excellent large piece. Very fine, choice and classic older combination material from the Consie Prince Collection.
