Purchased in 1968, the Trimingham label states that this is one of the best of hundreds recently collected from a single pocket! Excellent, indeed, from this well-known Tri-State mine. Highly lustrous, strongly striated, jet-black twinned sphalerite crystals to 4.3 cm are aestheticaly clustered on chert matrix with a couple of classic calcite rhombs and saddle-shaped dolomite crystals. Very fine and pristine combination materia from this locale. Valued at $500.
