Item Description
A striking and excellent large combination specimen from Elmwood. An isolated single, 2.5 cm, lustrous sphalerite crystal and an impressive cluster are very aesthetically placed on the sculptural sliver of super sparkly, drusy quartz-covered limestone matrix. These are partially translucent, rubyjack sphalerite crystals with reddish-brown color. A 2.3 cm, light amber calcite crystal is niftily set below the sphalerite cluster. The large twinned sphalerite atop the cluster is 3.0 cm across. This piece, with amazing sculptural form is a near floater, with only one small attachment point. Drusy quartz covers all of the matrix surfaces. Outstanding combination material from this renowned locale with great architecture. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 557.
