Item Description

Minerals specimens of any species are RARE from this porphyry-style polymetallic deposit in Jiangxi, China. MINDAT features NO photographs of the many species listed for the deposit. Two generations of twinned sphalerite crystals are aesthetically scattered on the sculptural large matrix covered with druzy quartz. The dominating, larger 2nd generation sharp twins are translucent with orange-brown color. The dramatically perched large crystal is 2.1 cm across and the elongated crystal in the center is 2.0 cm long. The smaller, darker 1st generation sphalerites are up to 1.1 cm across. Ex De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock and valued by Les at $2000. Impressive and RARE large two generation sphalerite on quartz from this most obscure locale.
