Item Description
Fine quality, lustrous, translucent, magenta colored "rosettes" of the cobalt carbonate, Sphaerocobaltite with associated Carrollite (in the matrix). Classic old material from this famous depost in the Congo. This is a rare mineral, and with such beautiful color, would make a great addition to any collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12369). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
